(for you)... Read ... and establish regular Prayer and give zakat

Allah’s Presence. Yeah, better
and greater, in Reward . . .”
(Qur’an, 73:20)

(the Qur’an) is the Truth from your Rabb (Cherisher and Sustainer), and that

Some
Ahadith (Teachings Of The Prophet):
1.
Anas Bin Malik (Radhiallahu anhu: meaning: May Allah be pleased
with him) reported
that Allah’s Messenger
(Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, meaning: May the peace and blessing of
Allah be upon him) said, “Seeking
of knowledge is incumbent upon every Muslim...”
(Ibn Majah 1/224 and
Tirmidhi 218)
2. Abdullah ibn Amir ibn Al As(Radhiallahu anhu) narrated that Prophet
(Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,
“Knowledge consists of three things: the decisive verses (Qur’an), authentic
Hadith and prescriptions rightly deduced from the two.
What is beside them is superfluous (extra).” (Ibn Majah 1/54
and Abu Dawud 2879)
3. Uthman Bin Affan (radhiallahu anhu)
narrated that Prophet (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “The
most superior among you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it.” (Bukhari 6/546)
4. Abdullah bin Umar (radhiallahu anhu)
narrated that
Allah’s Messenger(Sallallahu
‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Do not wish to be like anybody except in two cases: The case of a
man whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it in the right way; and that of a
man whom Allah has given religious wisdom (i.e., Qur'an and Sunnah) and he gives
his verdicts according to it, and teaches it to others.”
(Bukhari
9/419 and 6/543)
5. ‘Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakra’s
father
(Radhiallahu anhu)
narrated that
the Prophet (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “If Allah wants to do good to a person, he makes him
comprehend the religion and of course knowledge is attained by learning.” (Bukhari 1/67)
6. Abdullah Bin `Amr (Radhiallahu
anhu) narrated
that according to Jabir Bin
Abdullah (Radhiallahu
anhu)
the Prophet (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “…I
have left among you the Book of Allah, and if you hold fast to it, you would
never go astray…” (Muslim
2803.1)
7. Hudhaifah (Radhiallahu anhu)
narrated that Allah’s
Messenger (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)
said to us, "Honesty descended from the Heavens and settled in the
roots of the hearts of men (faithful believers), and then the Qur'an was
revealed and the people read the Qur'an, (and learned from it) and also learned
it from the Sunnah. Both Qur'an and
Sunnah strengthened their (the faithful believers’) honesty.”
(Bukhari
9/381)
8. Jabir Bin Abdullah (Radhiallahu
anhu)
reported that... Allah’s Messenger
(Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “...The best of affairs is the Book of Allah (the
Qur’an) and the best of guidance is the guidance given by Muhammad...” (Muslim 1885 and Ibn Majah 1/45)
9. Abu Hurairah (radhiallahu anhu)
narrated
that Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)
said, “…He who treads the path in search of knowledge, Allah will
make that path easy, leading to Paradise for him.
And those persons who assemble in one of the houses of Allah (mosques),
recite the Book of Allah and learn and teach the Qur'an (among themselves),
there will descend upon them tranquility, mercy will cover them.
The angels will surround them and Allah will mention them in the presence
of those near Him. He who is slow-paced in doing good deeds, his (long) descent
does not make him go ahead.” (Muslim 6518)
10. Abu Kabsha al-Anmari (radhiallahu anhu) narrated that Allah’s Messenger
(Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,
"There are three things which I swear to be true, and I shall tell you
something else, so keep it in mind. The three things which I swear to be true
are: that a man’s
property does not become less on account of sadaqah; that when a man is
wronged and bears it patiently Allah will give him greater honor on that
account; and that when a man opens a door towards begging Allah opens for him a
door towards poverty. The thing I am going to tell you which you must keep in
mind is this. The world has only four types of people: 1) A man whom Allah
provides with property and knowledge, in which he fears his Rabb and joins ties
of relationship, acting in it towards Allah as is due to Him, this man being in
the most excellent station. 2) A man whom Allah provides with knowledge but not
with property, who says with a sincere intention that if he had property he
would act as so and so does, their reward being equal. 3) A man whom Allah
provides with property but not with knowledge, in which he acts in a random
manner ignorantly, not fearing his Rabb respecting it, or using it to join ties
of relationship, or dealing with it in a right way, this man being in the worst
station. 4) A man whom Allah provides with neither property nor knowledge, who
says that if he had property he would deal with it as so and so does and has
this intention, the load they have to bear being equal.”
(Tirmidhi 5287)
11. Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakra’s father
(radhiallahu anhu)
narrated that Allah’s Messenger

‘alayhi wa sallam) said,

comprehend better than the present audience.” (Bukhari
1/67 and 2/797)
12. Umm Salamah (radhiallahu anhu)
narrated that the
Prophet (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)

provision.” (Tirmidhi
2487, Ahmad and
Ibn Majah)

anhu)

satiated with gainful knowledge; he goes acquiring it till his death and entry
into Paradise.” (Tirmidhi 222)
14. Abu Hurairah (radhiallahu anhu)

Messenger (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, "He who is asked about
knowledge and conceals it will be bridled on the Day of Judgment with a bridle
of fire." (Abu Dawud

15. Abdullah ibn Mas`ud (radhiallahu anhu)
narrated that Allah’s Messenger
(Sallallahu
‘alayhi wa sallam) said
to him: “Acquire the knowledge and impart it to the people. Acquire the
knowledge of Fara'id (laws of inheritance) and teach it to the people.
Learn the Qur'an and teach it to the people ;for I am a person who has to
depart this world.. The knowledge
will be taken away and turmoil will appear to such an extent that two people
will not agree in regard to a case of inheritance distribution and find none who
would decide between them.” (Tirmidhi 279)
16. Abu Hurairah (radhiallahu anhu) narrated that Allah’s
Messenger (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)
said, “He who acquires
knowledge by which Allah’s pleasure
is sought, (and) he does not acquire it, but (acquires it) to gain worldly good,
will not sense the odor of the Paradise on the Day of Resurrection.” (Ibn Majah 1/252)
17. Ka’b ibn Malik (radhiallahu anhu)
narrated that Allâh’s Messenger (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said “He
who acquires knowledge in order to fall into polemics with other scholars and
prove his superiority over them, or to dispute with the ignorant or to attract
the attention of the people, Allâh will throw him in the Fire.”
(Tirmidhi 225 and Ibn Majah
narrated by Abdullâh Ibn Umar)
18. It has been narrated on the authority of Sulayman ibn Yasar (radhiallahu anhu)
who said “People dispersed from around
AbuHurayrah, and Natil, who was from the Syrians, said to him: ‘O Shaykh,
relate (to us) a tradition you have heard from Allâh’s Messenger (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa
sallam).’
He said “Yes. I heard the Allâh’s Messenger (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)
said ‘The
first man (whose case) will be decided on the Day of Judgment, will be a man who
died as a martyr. He shall be brought (before the Judgment Seat). Allâh will
make him recount His blessings (i.e. the blessings which He had bestowed upon
him) and he will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his life).
(Then) will Allâh say: ‘What did you do (to requite these
blessings)?’ He will say: ‘I
fought for Thee until I died as a martyr.’
Allâh will say: ‘You have told a lie. You fought so that you might be
called a brave warrior. And you were called so.’ (Then) orders will be passed
against him and he will be dragged with his face downward and cast into Hell.
Then, there will be brought
forward a man who acquired knowledge and imparted it (to others) and recited the
Qur’ân. He will be brought, Allâh will make him recount His blessings and he
will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime). Then will Allâh ask: ‘What did you do (to requite these
blessings)?’ He will say: ‘I
acquired knowledge and disseminated it and recited the Qur’ân, seeking Your
pleasure.’ Allâh will say: ‘You have told a lie. You acquired knowledge so
that you might be called “a scholar”, and you recited the Qur’ân so that
it might be said “He is a Qari” and such has been said.’ Then orders will
be passed against him and he shall be dragged with his face downward and cast
into the Fire. Then will be brought
a man whom Allâh had made abundantly rich and had granted every kind of wealth.
He will be brought, Allâh will make him recount His blessings and he will
recount them and (admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime).
Allâh will (then) ask: ‘What have you done (to requite these
blessings)?’ He will say: ‘I
spent money in every cause in which You
wished that it should be spent.’
Allâh will say: ‘You are lying.
You did (so) that
it might be said about (you): “He is a generous fellow”, and so it
was said.’ Then will Allâh pass orders and he will be dragged with his face
downward and thrown into Hell.” (Muslim 4688)
19. Jabir Bin Abdullah (radhiallahu
anhu)

Messenger (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)

Muhammad (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).” (Tirmidhi
956 and Nasa'i)
20. Abu Darda (radhiallahu anhu)
narrated that Allah’s Messenger
(Sallallahu
‘alayhi wa sallam) said,
“The worst of men in the eyes of Allah on the Day of Resurrection will be the
scholar who does not derive benefit from his knowledge.”

22. Al Hasan Al Basri (radhiallahu anhu)
narrated that Allah’s Messenger
(Sallallahu
‘alayhi wa sallam) said,
“The superiority of a scholar, who observes the prescribed prayer and then
sits down to teach people goodness, over the worshipper, who observes fast
during the day and worships during the night,
is like my superiority over the lowest in rank amongst you.”
(Tirmidhi 250)
23. Abdullah ibn Abbas (radhiallahu anhu)

devout people.” (Tirmidhi
217 and Ibn Majah)
24. Abdullah Bin Mas`ud (radhiallahu
anhu)
narrated that Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)
said, “A
man shall be asked concerning five things on the day of resurrection: concerning
his life, how he spent it; concerning his youth, how he grew old;
concerning his wealth, whence he acquired it, and in what way he spent
it; and what was it that he did with the knowledge that he had.”
(Tirmidhi 5197)
