Hundreds of reverts to Islam in Davao City were invited to attend the Eid'l Adha celebration hosted on Saturday 28 November 2009 (10 Dhul Hijjah 1430) by WISHES, Wisdom Enrichment Foundation (WEFOUND) and Al-Islam at the WEFOUND Compound.

The celebration gave an opportunity for the Muslims residing in the city to convey Edi mubarak greetings to each other. The celebration was marked with funfare, Islamic lecture and Islamic awareness quiz bowl. During this Eid event here at the WEFOUND compound, seven men and one woman declared Shahada, Alhamdulillah, with the help of the Al-Islam group.
The following day, Sunday, WISHES/WEFOUND distributed the Qurban meat  (2 kg to 2.5 kg/bag) to around 100 recipients, many of whom are reverts to Islam. This was part of the Qurban project of the Islamic Community of Milli Gurus for Mindanao, which has been spearheaded by Dr. Noralin Sharief of the Philippine Muslim Teachers College. The Qurban meat  recipients expressed their gratitude and prayed to Allah to accept the Qurban and reward the donors.
