About WEFOUND

The Wisdom Enrichment Foundation (WEFOUND), is registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-profit organization with the following objectives:

To enrich and promote man’s wisdom through educational, moral and spiritual guidance;

To provide leadership and personality development training opportunities to interested, deserving individuals;

To explore and promote educational researches and religious studies relevant to personal, national and international developments;

To help promote peace, unity and better understanding among mankind, regardless of creed and nationality; and

To support and establish linkages with agencies and other private foundations in their campaign for educational, moral and spiritual well-being of mankind.

Regional Conference of Women Peace Advocates held in Davao City

The Philippine Council for Islam and Democracy convened the Regional Conference of Women Peace Advocates at the Waterfront Insular Hotel in Davao City on 24-27 January 2010. The WISHES Board Chairman and WEFOUND Managing Director, Dr. Norlain Dindang, attended the conference.

WEFOUND participated in the 3rd Ulama Summit in Davao City

The National Ulama Conference of the Philippines (NUCP) convened the 3rd National Ulama Summit at the Waterfront Insular Hotel in Davao City on 25-29 January 2010.

Eid'l Adha celebration and Qurban meat distribution at WEFOUND Compound

Hundreds of reverts to Islam in Davao City were invited to attend the Eid'l Adha celebration hosted on Saturday 28 November 2009 (10 Dhul Hijjah 1430) by WISHES, Wisdom Enrichment Foundation (WEFOUND) and Al-Islam at the WEFOUND Compound.

WISHES proposes Islamic and peace education for tertiary level in the Philippines

Dr. Norlain Dindang-Mababaya, Chairman of the Wisdom International School for Higher Education Studies (WISHES), presented a resolution on Islamic and peace education for tertiary level in the Philippines during the International Symposium on Muslim Education conducted at the Centennial Hall of Manila Hotel on 16-17 February 2009.

Regular Events

Regular programs/activities to be conducted soon at Wisdom Compound, Abinsay St., Dumanlas, Buhangin, Davao City, Philippines:

1. Tahfidhul Qur’an (Memorization of the Glorious Qur’an) - (Every Saturday and Sunday)
- Separate classes for women and for children

2. Tutorial Classes for Diploma and BA in Islamic Studies (to be arranged based on demand)

3. Muslim Women Empowerment Program (details to be announced later)

4. Series of Islamic Management and Leadership Workshops (Every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM)

5. Series of Lectures on Islamic Personality Development (Characteristics of Ideal Muslims) and Effective Public Speaking (separate classes for women) (Every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM)

6. Arabic & Islamic Studies Classes for Men (Every Saturday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM)

7. Arabic & Islamic Studies Classes for Children (Every Sunday from 8:00 to 11:30 A.M.)

8. Arabic & Islamic Studies Classes for Women (Every Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM)

9. Halaqah, Tahajjud and I‘tikaaf (Every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month after Maghreb prayer up to Doha time) (separate activities for women)
