Islamic Studies and Personality Development

Introduction

The word WISDOM does not only stand for knowledge but also an acronym for World Islamic Service for Developing Outstanding Muslims (WISDOM). The Wisdom Enrichment International Learning Program on Islamic Studies and Personality Development aims, among others, at educating Muslims and interested non-Muslims with authentic knowledge of Islam. Participants who will succeed in completing all the WISDOM learning modules are expected to have the right aqeedah (belief) and/or eeman (faith), develop the characteristics expected of Muslims according to the Qur'an and the Sunnah, and do righteous deeds for the pleasure of Allah. In this way, they will be able to do Da'wah (inviting people to Islam), enjoin the right and forbid the wrong so that in the sight of Allah the Almighty they become outstanding Muslims. They will be among those successful Muslims who will attain Allah's everlasting reward. Allah our Rabb (Cherisher and Sustainer) says:

“You are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind. You enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and believe in Allah...” (Qur'an 3:110)

“But those who believe and do deeds of righteousness. We shall soon admit them to Gardens, with rivers flowing beneath, to dwell therein forever. Allâh’s promise is the truth, and whose word can be truer than Allâh’s?” (Qur'an 4:122)

“Allâh has promised the believers, men and women, gardens under which rivers flow to dwell therein and beautiful mansions in gardens of everlasting bliss. But the greatest bliss is the Good Pleasure of Allâh: that is the supreme success.” (Qur'an 9:72)

The Wisdom Enrichment International Learning Program on Islamic Studies and Personality Development is a non-profit educational and Da’wah program of the Wisdom Enrichment Foundation (WEFOUND). It is FREE for all (Muslims and non-Muslims) who want to learn Islam according to authentic sources (i.e., Qur'an and the Sunnah). It is an international service from the Wisdom Enrichment Foundation for the sole pleasure of Allah, the Almighty.

The Wisdom Enrichment International Learning Program on Islamic Studies and Personality Development is the most convenient, easy, comprehensive and interesting educational program to learn authentic knowledge of Islam using modern information technology. Other unique features of the Wisdom Enrichment International Learning Program are as follows:

The program contents (comprising of various books, articles and publications from authentic sources) are integrated, synthesized and organized in accordance with proper curriculum development for effective learning.

The Islamic contents of the program (available on electronic books for immediate download) are authentic and comprehensive.

The learning courses are standardized and can be used to train individuals or groups in any place across the globe.

The learning modules are open not only to Muslims, but also to interested non-Muslim participants.

Participants learn at their own pace without any pressure (unlike attending formal classes, lectures and seminars). They can always read and review the course contents/lessons according to their convenient time and mode of learning.

Learning is made fun and friendly using the latest electronic book program with easy navigation, colorful designs and graphics.

The essence of the whole program is for the participants to become ideal and outstanding Muslims, in words and deeds.

Certificates will be issued to every successful participant for each level. Every participant is expected to read the electronic book for each learning module and take the online examination (multiple and true or false item) to test the participant's understanding and mastery of the subject for each learning module.

Self-learning approach

Using the self-learning approach to learning through reading, this educational program adheres to the first divine message, which Allah the Almighty revealed to His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The message commands us (mankind) to read:

“Read! In the Name of your Rabb (Cherisher and Sustainer) Who created — created man, out of a leech-like clot. Read! And your Rabb is Most Bountiful. He Who taught (the use of) the Pen, taught man that which he knew not..” (Qur'an 96: 1-5)

When we read authentic knowledge of Islam and other useful knowledge needed to develop our total personality, we become among the believers who do righteous deeds, enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. We become among those, who in the Sight of Allah as mentioned in the Holy Qur'an (i.e., 3:110, 4:122 and 9:72), are the best among mankind (hence, outstanding Muslims) — who deserve His eternal reward, the Supreme SUCCESS.

WEFOUND recognizes the importance of Islam according to the Qur'an and the Sunnah for attaining success, especially supreme success in the life hereafter. It seeks to play an active role in educating man with authentic knowledge of Islam through this Learning Program on Islamic Studies and Personality Development.
