Seeking Allah’s Guidance

If non-Muslims want salvation from the Hell-Fire and enjoy everlasting peace, happiness and success in the life Hereafter, time has come that they must seek Allah’s Guidance. They should repent by accepting Islam and firmly believe in the absolute Oneness of Allah (Tawhîd).  They should know that if they die rejecting the Truth about the absolute Oneness of Allah, if they continue worshipping others besides Allah,  He the Rabb (Cherisher and Sustainer) will never forgive them and their abode will be the Hell-Fire forever:

 “ ... Allâh forgives not that partners should  be  set up  with him;   but He forgives anything else,  to whom He pleases; to set up  partners with Allâh is to devise a sin most heinous indeed.”    (Qur’ân 4:47- 48)

“And that He may punish the Hypocrites men and women and the Polytheists men and women who imagine an evil opinion of Allah.  On them is a round of Evil: the Wrath of Allah is on them: He has cursed them and got Hell, ready for them: and evil is it for a destination.”    (Qur’ân 48:6)

“Those who reject (Truth) among the People of the Book (the Jews and the Christians) and among the Polytheists will be in Hell-Fire to dwell therein (for aye).  They are the worst of creatures.”  (Qur’ân 98:6)

 ‘Abdullâh ibn Mas‘ûd t  narrated that Allâh’s Messenger r said,  “Anyone who dies worshipping others along with Allâh will definitely enter the Fire.”  I said,  “Anyone who dies worshipping none along with Allâh will definitely enter Paradise.”   (Bukhâri 2/330, 6/24 and Muslim 168)

Non-Muslims must seek Allah’s Divine Guidance and Supreme Rewards.  They need to fulfill the very Goal in life that Allah has set for all mankind and jinn; and that is to sincerely worship Allah throughout our lives.   Allah tells us:

“I have only created jinn and men, that they may worship Me.” (Qur'an 51:56)

“So glorify the praises of your Rabb (Cherisher and Sustainer) and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him).  And worship your Rabb until there comes unto you the Hour that is certain (i.e., death).”    (Qur'an 15:98-99)

“And they have been commanded no more than this: to worship Allâh, offering Him sincere devotion, being True  (in Faith); establish regular prayer;  and  to give Zakat. And that is the Religion Right and Straight.”   (Qur'an 98:5)

Worship in Islam is a comprehensive term, which is not only confined to the daily salat (prayers) and other religious acts (such as fasting, payment of zakat, pilgrimage and so on) devoted purely for the pleasure of Allah the Almighty.  It is an all-inclusive term for all that Allah loves of the inward and outward sayings, actions and deeds of a person.  In other words, worship is everything we say or do sincerely for the pleasure of Allah.  It includes not only rituals and beliefs, but also economic, political, social and cultural activities, and contributions to the welfare of our fellow human beings. Everything we say and do in accordance with the Qur’an and the Sunnah, with the sincere intention to please our Creator, is an act of ibadah (worship). In short, worship in Islam entails sincere sacrifice on our part  for the pleasure of Allah the Almighty.  Our Creator tells us:

“Say: ‘Truly, my prayer, my sacrifice,  my life and my death are (all) for Allah, the Cherisher of the World.’” (Qur’an 6:162)
